BWIA Ex-Gratia Payment

The Board of Directors of BWIA West Indies Airways Limited (BWIA) acting on the instructions of the majority shareholder, the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (GORTT), has proposed to make an ex-gratia payment to BWIA shareholders & former employees, in the sum of $0.20 (20 cents) per share upon the completion and signing of a Full and Final Release and Discharge Agreement (“The Release”).

SHAREHOLDERS:
A package is on its way to all shareholders via TT Post Registered Mail, officially notifying you of the proposed ex-gratia payment. The package also contains instructions regarding the completion of the Release. The mail-out of these packages will begin on June 1, 2009. In the event that you do not receive a package by June 12, 2009; please contact the Helpline (821-5863) weekdays 8 am to 4 pm.

FORMER EMPLOYEES:
See attached listing for the names of employees on record. To obtain copies of documents, please choose one of the following options:

Call the Helpline (821-5863) weekdays 8 am to 4 pm to request the documents by registered mail. OR
Collect the documents from any one of West Indies Stockbrokers Limited’s (WISE) offices nationwide

We wish to advise that the Acceptance Period is now closed.

On completion of all the documents, both shareholders and former employees must call the Helpline (821-5863) weekdays 8 am to 4 pm to make an appointment to come into one of WISE’s offices so that your payment can be processed. Once your documents are in good order, you can expect to receive your cheque immediately.

Note: appointments can only be made through the Helpline.
