The Barbados Shipping & Trading Company Limited - Poll For The Election of Directors

At the eighty-eighth Annual General Meeting of the Shareholders of The Barbados Shipping & Trading Company Limited, convened at Sherbourne Conference Centre, St. Michael, Barbados, on Friday January 25, 2008:

(i) A motion to elect Directors as a single resolution was carried.
(ii) A motion to re-elect five Directors to fill five vacancies on the Board of Directors created by their retirement by rotation was not carried on a show of hands.
(iii) A Poll was thereafter demanded in respect of this single resolution and a polling date of Friday February 8, 2008 was fixed.

Accordingly, balloting in respect of the single resolution to re-elect Ms. S. K. Osborne, QC, Mr. P. G. Symmonds, QC, and Messrs G. A. A. King, B.S. Dulal-Whiteway and J. E. Teixeira as Directors will take place at The Autodome, Warrens, St. Michael, Barbados, on Friday February 8, 2008 between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

The Meeting will be reconvened at 5:00 pm on Friday February 8, 2008, at The AutoDome, Warrens, St Michael, Barbados, for the purpose of receiving the Scrutineers’ Report on the Poll and declaring the result of the Poll.

PricewaterhouseCoopers has been appointed to act as the Scrutineers of the Poll.

NOTES:

1. All Shareholders as at the record date, December 12, 2007, are eligible to vote.
All proxies duly appointed for the meeting convened on Friday January 25, 2008, unless revoked, are eligible to vote.

2. Shareholders will have one vote for each share held.

3. Individual Shareholders or their proxy will be asked to provide proof of identification.

4. In the case of a Shareholder which is a body corporate or association, an individual authorized by a resolution of the directors or governing body of that body corporate or association who provides proof of identification will be permitted to vote.
