SLJ Sale of Sagicor General Insurance (Cayman) Ltd to Bahamas First Holdings Ltd.

Sagicor Life Jamaica Ltd has advised that having received all necessary Regulatory approvals, Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited (SLJ) and Bahamas First Holdings Limited (BHF) have successfully completed the transaction for sale of SLJ’s 75.24% interest in Sagicor General Insurance (Cayman) Ltd. SLJ’s interest was held through its subsidiary Sagicor Life of the Cayman Island Ltd. The effective date of the transfer is January 1, 2010.

Sagicor Life Jamaica Ltd remains committed to the Cayman Islands market and will be concentrating on the Individual Life, Group Life and Captives Management lines of business through the subsidiaries, Sagicor Life of the Cayman Islands Ltd and Sagicor Insurance Managers Ltd.
